Urban Hijau offers an event space like no other. We are a one-acre urban farm site located in the middle of Kuala Lumpur, offering a lush green scene with a terrific vista of Taman Tun. With a fully-equipped training room and a variety of features including an aquaponics system, a composting station and rainwater harvesting setup, we guarantee a memorable hands-on experience of reconnecting with Nature.

What Green Events do we offer?
Children Farm Activities
We strongly believe that lessons on sustainability and the environment should begin at a young age.
“Urban Hijau has hosted hundreds of children of all age groups and engaged with dozens of schools and institutions to get students to interact with a farm environment.”
One of our signature program is the Children Farm Tour, a half-day event at the site for youngsters. The typical schedule is as follows:
- A tour of our site and explanation of how a farm works (age appropriate)
- What is soil and introduction to different plants.
- This is followed by a fun soil mixing exercise, in which kids get to experience how soil, sand and compost blend with each other.
- Children plant their own herb sapling to take back home.
This event is recommended for around 15 to 25 kids.
Urban Hijau also conducts specialty children events with more advanced programs, including the Kids Solar Workshop, teaching the basics of solar energy and letting kids develop their own solar devices, and the Plant Art Workshop, where kids are taught how to paint using natural plant material from the farm and others.
Team Events
If your company is looking for a unique space to get your team together for a day out, why settle for an indoor office or overseas location when you can have a living and breathing green space nearby?
Urban Hijau has been happy to host team events with major companies such as Maxis and CIMB as well as smaller private groups, giving participants a collective experience of bonding in Nature.
Urban Hijau’s Teambuilding events are a special occasions in which participants are involved in a mix of activities to keep them on their toes, from gardening primer to soil-mixing exercises to treasure hunt competitions.
Urban Hijau also conducts Guided Group Activities in which your group receives an informational farm tour before being involved in a joint morning exercise, from compost preparation & mixing to seeding, planting & harvesting new crops.

If you are planning an event for a special occasion, you can pick our space to make it much more memorable. Our one-acre site is a slice of green beauty in an urban concrete jungle. Our spot is open to a variety of events, from Birthday Parties to Photo shoots to Private Workshops.
